How do I pre-register for sessions I want to attend?
No need to pre-register for any of the sessions on the agenda! Attendees are welcome to select their desired session right on site.

Directions to University Avenue Ramp, adjacent to Alumni Center

Ramp address: 1926 University Ave. SE, Mpls. 55455

From the north, heading south on 35W

  1. Take Exit #18, 4th St-University Ave exit
  2. Cross 4th Street SE; turn left on University Ave
  3. Stay in the right lane, drive 9 blocks to the University Ave Parking Ramp — located on the right side of the street

From the south, heading north on 35W

  1. Take Exit #18, 4th St-University Ave exit
  2. Turn right on University Ave
  3. Stay in the right lane, drive 9 blocks to the University Ave Parking Ramp — located on the right side of the street

From the east or west on I-94

  1. Take Exit #235B, University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard
  2. Follow Huron Boulevard one block and turn left onto Fulton St (1st stop light)
  3. Drive 3 blocks and turn right onto Oak St
  4. Follow Oak St past the Alumni Center (on the left) and cross over University Ave.
  5. Oak St will curve to the left and turn into 4th Street
  6. Turn left at the first available street (18th Ave, 17th Ave or 16th Ave)
  7. Drive 1 block and turn left onto University Ave
  8. Immediately get into the right lane and turn right into the University Ave Parking Ramp

Directions to the Washington Ave Ramp

Ramp address: 501 Washington Ave. SE, Mpls. 55455

A 1300-car ramp is located 1 block southwest of the Alumni Center and attached via tunnel to the Graduate Minneapolis hotel and McNamara Alumni Center. Parking is $3.00 per hour with a daily maximum of $12.00. Please consult with the Graduate Minneapolis hotel directly for more information about overnight parking with in and out privileges.

From the east or west on I-94

  1. Take Exit #235B, University of Minnesota/Huron Boulevard
  2. Follow Huron Boulevard one block and turn left onto Fulton St (1st stop light)
  3. Drive 3 blocks and turn right onto Oak St
  4. Drive 3 blocks and turn left onto Washington Ave
  5. Drive 1 block and turn right onto Walnut Street
  6. Drive 1 block and turn left onto Beacon St
  7. Drive 2 blocks and turn left onto Union St. The Washington Ave Ramp entrance is on the left.
  1. The Oak St. entrance accommodates drop-offs with a 20 minute limit.
  2. Two 15-minute meters are at the Oak St. entrance.
  3. Metered street parking is available along Oak Street — Accepts credit cards. Enforced M-Sat until 8pm. Free on Sundays.
    • Two handicapped parking spaces are available at the Center’s entrance on Oak Street.
  4. 2 blocks south of the alumni center is the Oak St Ramp. This ramp has a $6.00 daily rate on weekends beginning Friday at 5:00pm through Sunday.

Light Rail — Green Line

The Green line stops a short block from the McNamara Alumni Center at the East Bank Station. It is on Washington Avenue across from the Graduate Minneapolis hotel. McNamara is just 4 stops on the Green line from Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis. For specific route and schedule information visit www.metrotransit.org

Metro Area Bus

Metro Transit Buses 2, 113, 114, 115, 465, and 475 stop just outside McNamara Alumni Center at Oak Street and Washington Avenue. Stop ID: 41248 (heading South) and 40278 (heading North).

Bike Rentals

A Nice Ride station is located right outside McNamara on Walnut St.

You’ll find a range of attire at the conference but generally most attendees are in business casual. Temperatures in conference halls may fluctuate widely. It’s advised to dress in layers.
